The cottage we stayed at in Matlock was a true gem. the location was simply perfect, allowing us to easily explore the town and surrounding areas. the amenities provided were top-notch, with everything we needed in the kitchen and a wonderfully comfortable bed to relax in after a long day of hiking. One of the highlights for me was the water pressure in the shower, which was just right. the added bonus of receiving a sweet treat and mulled wine upon arrival, as well as a voucher for a free drink at a nearby bar, was a thoughtful touch that went above and beyond. The only downside was the slightly steep walk back up to the cottage from town, but the buses were a convenient alternative. Overall, the value for the price paid was exceptional, and I would highly recommend this lovely cottage for a peaceful getaway in Matlock.
